Internship News & Kerry Fashion Weekend 2012

Hey everyone ! Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged. As most of you might know, I'm in Monaghan at the moment Interning at the amazing Fashion label, NATALIEBCOLEMAN. I've been assisting with all the PR & Sales preparation ahead of New York & Paris Fashion weeks & I'm absolutely loving it so far. We've had some very long days in the last week, but I am learning an unbelievable amount each day & I'm over the moon to be here ! I'm documenting everything as it's happening so I'll be doing a post all about the Internship once I finish... & should have that ready at the weekend for you to see :)

Also, before I came to Monaghan, I helped out at the film shoot for the new collection, A/W 1213 'I LOVE ME' in the beautiful Gibson Hotel in Dublin. There was such a great team there on the day & I cannot wait to see the final result. It will be posted on the Website, Facebook & Twitter very soon....so stay tuned !

As well as the Internship, I've also been working with the amazing team at UPFRONT PR, Event & Model Management to prepare for the fourth annual Kerry Fashion Weekend. It will be my second year working at this event & this year it's looking to be better than ever ! It is on from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th of April 2012 & once again, there are both Kerry and National Awards Categories. 

The main categories are:

KFW Irish Designer of the Year (national entries welcome) 2012

KFW Kerry Designer of the Year 2012 (Kerry born designer or designer based in Kerry)

KFW One to Watch (national entries welcome) 2012

KFW Irish Accessory Designer of the Year (national entries welcome) 2012

This is the fourth annual KFW and it is now nationally acknowledged as one of Ireland’s most prestigious fashion events. KFW has been responsible for both discovering and encouraging Kerry and Irish fashion designer talents. Previous winners have included bridal designers, Delphine Grandjouan and Caroline Atelier; womenswear designers, Sinead Doyle, Karyn Moriarty and Matt Doody, milliners Carol Kennelly, Kathleen McAuliffe and Michael Leong and jeweller Lisa Dora. This year the KFW Designer Awards Show will be held in the Pavilions at Ballygarry House Hotel, Tralee, County Kerry on Thursday 12th of April. Entry forms for Awards are now available from Upfront PR & Model Management. I'm also delighted to be EXCLUSIVELY announcing here on my blog that another highlight this year will be the, "KFW Vintage Salon Show", at the Plaza Hotel in Killarney, on Saturday April 14th. It will be an event for 50 people only & is set to be an amazing evening of style through the decades. I will be styling the whole show & can't even begin to explain how excited I am ! Tickets will be available on the Website from Friday onwards & full details will be announced at the official launch at the end of February.
