90's Grunge.

I remember sitting at my desk about this time last year researching "Fashion in the 20th Century" as part of a project I had to do for college.....& I remember thinking that the 1990's were by far the WORST. Can someone just tell me what in the name of God I was thinking!? It is very clear that my opinion has completely changed & that I am now a  dedicated fan. Studs, crosses, skulls, dip-dye & creepers...Welcome to my life :)



















**The creepers...

I know they're not for everyone, but I most definitely am OBSESSED.
















**The Hair....

It's pretty clear that it would be quite a big step for me to change my hair to this extent & the chances of me ever doing it are pretty slim. But wow, I'm so jealous of everyone who has been brave enough.
 It really has brought cool to a whole new level.....




LOVE this !




It must be said that I know that this kinda thing is not everyone's cup of tea...but hopefully it has given you all a little bit of inspiration anyway. I"ve kinda started embracing it a little bit myself as you all saw in this outfit HERE ...but trust me, there's a lot more to come :)

    I'm still hunting for the perfect pair of animal print creepers. I remember wearing flannel shirts layered over floral maxi dresses in the 90s. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, the whole nine yards...

    Erika.....fab post !!! im showing my age, i had the creepers in every colour possible mustard, purple, black suede and black patent (and i wore them with my wine school uniform and white socks) oh help...ha ha ha. And I am on the look out for a fab pair now , i love them and delighted there back (i wont be buying them in every colour though) I seen a fab pair in dublin black and leopard print and left them after me. I tried them on and loved them but thought they were a bit expensive even in the sale, im sorry now though !!! will def be picking up a pair soon. Funnily enough if you asked me a couple of years ago about these shoes i would have nearly puked.......It's funny how our tastes change without even meaning to. fab post pet xxxx

      Awh Josie....I LOVE this comment ! I can't help imaginging you in them with the white socks...ha ha! We're gunna avta find ourtselves a pair...Im OBSESSED ! Im sure we'd get some funny looks around Killarney, but my God I wouldn't care ! I'll let you know if I come accross them somewhere where they arnt too expensive ! xx

    Great post! Love how we can turn our noses up at some things but then embrace them a short while later! Love looking at old photo's and cringing about outfits and hair etc, but it always makes its way back around eventually!
